Sponsorship of the lists
Following the stated list policies on commercial advertisements (ref: LRO Digest 25 Jan 1997, msg 52) the
Land Rover Owner mailing lists and web sites are willing to accept
commercial sponsorship. Given that the readership of the
lists and web sites have a specific common interest, (e.g. Land Rovers),
we are most willing to accept sponsor messages catering to these interests.
Non-related messages will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
At present sponsorhip messages are displayed in a rotation on a per list basis.

General Sponsorship Terms

Sponsorship services offered
Sponsor messages will be provided to the following list patrons as follows:
- Daily to subscribers who choose to receive a once-per-day message digest.
- Weekly to subscribers who receive each message (in real-time) as it is sent.
- Every viewing for patrons who read the mailing list messages via the Web Browser interface.
For each of the groups above, accetable formats for sponsor messages are as follows:
- Digest Subscribers
- Format: A written text message up to 10 lines by 75 characters.
- Location: After the table of contents, prior to the first message.
- Rotation: no less than 1 in 5 (six per 30 days) based on day of the month.
(e.g. minimum six views per subscriber per 30+ day month)
- Example:
- Real-time list Subscribers
- Format: A written text message up to 10 lines by 75 characters.
- Location: A message sent once per week to real-time subscribers will notify them of the list sponsors and ask for their patronage.
- Rotation: order of presentation of sponsor messages in weekly mailing.
- Example: similar to above.
- Web Patrons
- Pages affected: all Web-formatted digests (current day's and archives) of the list.
- Format: A graphic or/and written text message up to approximately 10 lines by 75 characters. Sole graphic not to exceed equivalent size,
nominially 150 x 600 pixels. (Note: requests for larger graphics will be considered, for an additional fee.)
- Location: After the table of contents, prior to the first message in the Web edition of the mailing list digest.
- Rotation: no less than 1 in 5, selection based on a time of day algorithm.
(e.g. ad 'a' displayed during for five minutes starting at 01 and 31 minutes after the hour, ad 'b' displayed for five minutes starting at 06 and 36 minutes after the hour, etc.)
